The Centurion Mixed Ensemble utilizes a mix of all brass,
wind, percussion and rhythm instrumentation, performing
music from all genres including classical, jazz, swing, pop
and rock music. |

The group takes members from the age of 10 years old, and
unlike the
Junior Band, accepts performing members over the
age of 25. |

Since the group was first formed it has performed at some of
the most high profile events in the UK including the
Edinburgh Spring Festival and the London New Years Day
Parade, which was televised worldwide to millions live. |

The group also performs regularly throughout the year at
local galas, as well as at the annual Youth Music in Action
concert that showcases youth music and dance organisations
from across the City of York. |
