Show Band
is a unique activity that combines precise musical performance with
intricate visual work to produce a 10 minutes 'stage' style show on
a football field sized arena, and is performed to hundreds of
thousands of spectators from across the UK, Europe and USA during
the course of the year. |
|
|
Each unit
performs a different show, completely of their own choice, but
generally has some form of theme running throughout the 10 minute
performance. Some units may perform a show dedicated to a new movie
release such as Pirates of the Caribbean, whilst others may choose
to cover work of a particular artist or band, such as The Beatles.
Then there are other units that choose their repertoire based on
entertainment value alone. You can see details of our

Each and
every member of such a unit is equally important as the next... we
are one team, and our team motto is simple - "One Band, One Sound".
Teamwork is what our activity is all about, working together to
achieve one large aim. |

The
Centurion Show Band is made up of many different captions including
the Wind Section, Percussion Section and Colour Guard. Instruments
include Trumpet, Mellophone, Baritone, Saxophone, Sousaphone, Snare
Drum, Bass Drum, Multi-Tenors, Xylophones, Marimbas, Accessories and
many more. The Colour Guard utilises equipment such as flags and
imitation sabres and rifles. |
